  • December 11, 2017 Dear GES Families: What a wonderful showcase on Friday.  It really serves as an opportunity to share what children have been learning in their classroom with the whole school community.  The Gilford PTA is sponsoring a World Language Program for Gilford students in grades 1 through 7.  There is no charge for the program.  Space is limited, so students will be admitted into the program on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Students will be grouped as follows: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6-7.  The two elementary sections will be offered at the Gilford Elementary School and the middle school-aged students will have their sessions at the Gilford Middle School.  There will be two ...

  • November 27, 2017 Notification from: Gilford Elementary SchoolDear GES Families:I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. November and December are filled with activities that reinforce giving and giving thanks. Our Gilford Elementary community gave freely for our treats for troops. Children carried in bags of candy. Our volunteer steering committee organized the Lunch with a Loved One that served over 300 additional guests a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Under Mrs. Bryant’s leadership the EarlyAct students will be collecting items and filling up stockings for local families in need.   • 11/13/17 Dear GES Families: I hope you stayed warm over the weekend. Our family enjoyed watching the “Oliver!” performance. If you haven’t seen it, you can check it out next weekend on November 17th or 18th at 7:00PM at GHS.  We are excited to welcome an additional 279 guests for Lunch with a Loved One this Thursday.   • October 30, 2017 Dear GES Families:We have some great events coming up this week you won’t want to miss!First, our annual Halloween parade will be on Tuesday, October 31st at 9:00 AM. We will walk from our school to the Village Store and back. Please remember to send your child's costume to school. Hope to see you along the parade route.Next, your child can bring in candy to donate to the Treats for Troops program on Wednesday, November 1st. We will be sending our candy to Lt.
