  • June 3, 2019 Dear GES Families:This week at GES we enjoyed watching the fourth grade band perform for us and took some walking field trips. I wanted to commend your children on their outstanding behavior during our safety missions.  They followed directions and were silent during their missions. You should be very proud!Get ready for the Gilford Gauntlet on Friday.This is a mile long nature based obstacle course that will utilize our fitness areas and require determination, teamwork, and critical thinking.   • May 27, 2019 Dear GES Families:I hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day and honored the men and women that served our country in your own special way. We had a wonderful week here at GES. We celebrated Memorial Day with the kindergarten classes learning about Memorial Day on Monday when they had a visit from Sargent Thurston and Col. Heilshorne who serve with the National Guard. They showed us tools the soldiers use and helped us run obstacle courses. We want to thank them for coming and sharing their time and talent with us.   • May 20, 2019 Notification from: Gilford Elementary SchoolDear GES Families:I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. I can't believe it is already May 19th! We had a busy week last week. Here are some highlights:  This past Friday the learners enjoyed checking out the book fair and filling out their wish lists. The PTA meeting on Tuesday brought new members to the meeting. The next meeting will be June 4th at 6:00PM. We will vote for new officers at the meeting.Also, this past week we were excited to receive a TangerKids Grant.  Tanger Outlets donates $4,000 in TangerKids Grants to four area schools to support programs in the 2019/2020 school year. Also, the entire GES staff would thank the many families that sent in treats and made our Staff Appreciation Week extra special.
