Dear GES Families:

We certainly had a wonderful week at GES.  We started with a fun cookout and successful book fair before showing off our community connections at the Community Partners Night. The next day we were amazed by Hagerman, the Science Wizard and we ended the week celebrating Memorial Day. We gathered at the cemetery to remember and pay tribute to those who sacrificed for our country. All of our learners were very respectful while they sang Patriotic Songs, recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and listened to Taps played by two Gilford High School students. The kindergartners had their own special visit from Sergeant First Class Thurston and Lieutenant Colonel Heilshorn. They were able to ask questions and run their own obstacle course outside.

Students will be participating in the Gilford Gauntlet on June 1. They will engage in team building games, a critical thinking riddle, and physical activity obstacles. Join us to show support as the students partake in this year’s Gilford Gauntlet! (See schedule attached)
